In Cagnes-sur-Mer verbrachte der berühmte impressionistische Maler Pierre-Auguste Renoir seine letzten Lebensjahre und malte auf diesem park-ähnlichen Grundstück das Licht und die Natur der Côte d'Azur, Südfrankreich.

The famous impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir spent his last years in Cagnes-sur-Mer. He painted light and nature on these park-like grounds of the Côte d'Azur, south France.

Selbstporträt

Dieses Porträt in Ölfarben malte ich vor einigen Tagen auf  einem alten Nesseltuch-Bild, das ich 1982, dem Geburtsjahr unseres ersten Sohnes, mit Dispersionsfarben angefertigt hatte, womit ein Zeitraum von 32 Jahren überbrückt ist; die Hälfte meines Lebens. Und weiterhin rauche ich.

I painted this oil portrait a few days ago on an old nettle canvas painting, which I produced in 1982 – the year of birth of our first son – with dispersion colours – hereby bridging a period of 32 years, one half of my life. And I continue to smoke.
